Demorrio Williams of the Kansas City Chiefs has been released on Tuesday, meaning the Chief would save a salary cap of $2 million ahead of next week’s free agency. Since joining the Chiefs in 2008, Williams has not been a consistent starter with the Chiefs, as he is used mainly on special teams.
The Chiefs did place a franchise Dwayne Bowe who played in all 16 games last season. Bowe was offered a one year contract said to be work about $9.5 million, but he also has the option to negotiate a better deal that would extend for a longer period.
