Week 1 is Finally Here

It’s finally here. Gameday. Fans have watched and waited for this Sunday to arrive. The day the final 53 take the field to show fans who they are and where they are going. Kansas City Chiefs will face the Tennessee Titans at Arrowhead Stadium today at noon with the plan of starting the season with a win.

There will be some exciting players worth watching not playing today. Dwayne Bowe will not be playing because of a one game suspension he received last month and De’Anthony Thomas is unlikely to play due to a hamstring injury. This puts some pressure on Donnie Avery and Frankie Hammond to be difference makers today.

Last year these two teams met up as well. They played week 5 of 2013 and the Chiefs won 23-17. The Chiefs will be taking on some familiar faces today in Dexter McCluster and Ryan Succop who joined the Titans this season. There could potentially be a battle between kickers today with Succop just being released last week so the team could keep rookie Cairo Santos.

It’s time to wear red and cheer the Chiefs into victory. There are many fans that doubt the Chiefs potential to have another strong, winning season due to the difficulty of the schedule. The Chiefs will take the field to prove the doubters wrong and set the right tone to the season. There is nothing better than Chiefs gameday.
